On Saturday, 28 December 2019, the Hope, Faith and Grace Youth Group volunteered their services as dogwalkers at the Springs SPCA. It was mutually beneficial ex...perience as the dogs got to enjoy stretching their legs and our youth got some 'canine therapy'! For a lot of them, it was a reminder that adopting a pet from the SPCA might not change the whole world, but it will change the world for that animal when they find their 'forever home'.
We would like to encourage all members of the community who are willing and able to volunteer their services on a Saturday morning between 9:00 and 12:00 to this worthy cause. The SPCA survives solely on donations and is in need of the community's support. Any help, including secound-hand goods for the shop, dog food and blankets are always gratefully recieved. After our experience on Saturday, we'll definitely be back in the new year.
Who would've thought that our youth would be doing a stock take at Petersfield Apteek by Springs Gate Mall. They know how to do manual, excel stock takes and now they got to experience how to do stock take using barcoded scanners, learning how technology can make things easier.
Thank you to everyone for making our golf day such a success, the funds raised will help us with a few months rent, we still on a mission to raise funds for transportation to get our youth to jobs, outreaches and events. Every day is one day closer to our goal.
